This site is my garden portfolio.
My name is Linna and I am a LOCAVORE.  I believe in encouraging people to eat locally produced food as well as grow their own.  My emphasis is on teaching people creative gardening techniques that focus on maximizing space and time. As a mother of two young children, a full time employee, a wife, and friend, I am an expert in making the most out of the little time I have.

I am interested in all opportunities to speak, and demonstrate on food gardening topics. I live in the Northern Virginia Area.

Creative techniques that I speak on include:

• Edible landscaping- mixing vegetables and flowers to create inviting spaces on patios/decks etc.
• Vertical gardening- growing vegetables up to conserve space
• Straw bale Gardening- unique approach for a no-till way to garden
• Sheet Composting (aka Lasagna method)- method of building garden beds that focus on the use of local materials
• Square Foot Gardening- approach that maximizes the use of space based on each plant
• Kid's Gardens- creating gardens that spark the curiosity of little hands, eyes, and tastes
• Wild Edibles- approaches to finding, identifying, and Including wild edibles into your diet.

All of these using all ORGANIC methods!!
